SEWING WORKSHOP
This event was run for members of an all girls youth group (International Order of the Rainbow for Girls) ages 11-20. Girls learned how to take their measurements, create a simple skirt pattern from scratch, use a sewing machine, and create their own skirt (some even with pockets)! Participants not only had fun, but also picked up some valuable life skills.

- 1 month before event
- secure location for the event, communicated with building manager
- work with volunteers to source sewing machines and sewing materials (measuring tapes, scissors, etc.)
- create lesson plan and print handouts/instructions for participants to utilize day-of and take home
